The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is the world’s leading professional society supporting manufacturing education through its member programs, publications, expositions, and professional development resources.

SME has recently launched a major initiative in Canada. To start, this includes the acquisition of seven manufacturing trade shows, and the establishment of a Canadian office in Toronto. SME is dedicated to bringing people and information together to advance manufacturing knowledge.

Through this initiative, SME plans to work closely with Canadian industry and other associations to strengthen manufacturing workforce development, education, training and certification efforts throughout the country.
