We are seeking dedicated, member service oriented professionals to join our Food and Beverage team as a Casual & Fine Dining servers.  These are permanent full time positions with benefits in a non-tipping environment requiring shift work which includes evenings and weekends and holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The server will perform his/her duties to ensure an excellent dining experience for members and guests in every aspect including high quality service, cleanliness of dining area, food quality, etc.  A Server is expected to be knowledgeable, well-groomed, and friendly and represent Donalda Club in a professional manner while providing an unforgettable dining experience. The incumbent is expected to have strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be reliable, have a strong perseverance for training and be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
 
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform all duties to ensure the dining area is clean and safe for members and staff including cleaning tables, polish glassware and cutlery, clearing used plates, service station, fridge, etc.
  • Prepare dining areas for members prior to their arrival including setting up buffet when required, restocking condiments, setting up tables, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable of daily specials and menu items including daily soup, ingredients and fitness special
  • Serves food and beverages according to Donalda Club’s set standards as stated in  the service manual
  • Perform all closing/opening duties as assigned by supervisor or manager on each shift
  • Handles complaints from guests and members in a professional manner and  informs direct supervisor   to resolve any issues
  • Ensure all member information is correctly inputted to the JONAS system when taking orders
  • Perform various duties for the patio including opening umbrellas, placing centerpieces, and make cutlery roll-ups as needed.
  • Rearrange tables and chairs when requested by management or members
  • Continuously monitor dining areas to ensure high quality of the overall dining experience
  • Represent Donalda Club in a professional manner by obliging to the proper standards outlined in the Donalda Club Dress Code Policy
  • Perform other task and special projects that may arise in the Food and Beverage department or requested by the Restaurant Manager

Job Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Completion of High School Education (Grade 12)  is required
  • Must be 18 and over to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Post-secondary education in the field of Hospitality is an asset and preferred
  • 2 years of restaurant experience is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Professional attitude and able to work in a team environment 
  • Knowledge of Wine Service is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of P.O.S Systems (JONAS) is considered an asset
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be well-groomed, mannerly, and friendly to ensure a good dining experience for members and guests
  • Smart Serve certificate required in advance of employment
