Job Description:

Our client in Brampton is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join their team! 

Key Accountabilities:
  • Timley and complete repair and maintenance of all production and related equipment in accordance with company and manufacturers specifications
  • Effective preventative maintenance checks on production and related equipment
  • New equipment installation in accordance with company and manufacturers specifications
Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair machine problems reported to the maintenance department through the use of work orders submitted
  • Fabricate parts from sketches, drawings or verbal instructions
  • Complete the written parts request form to Inform maintenance supervisor of required spare parts and supplies needed to maintain production equipment in accordance with company and manufacturers specification 
  • Repair machine parts removed from production equipment, using new parts or fabricating parts
  • Offer training and guidance to others in the department to extend knowledge on plant equipment and how to repair it 
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Skills:
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting ability a minimum requirement
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Dependable, with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills 
Education/Certification, Designations & Licenses:
  • Certified Millwright Certificate
  • Completion of high school and trade school 
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs 
  • Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced environment, with proper training on Dangerous & Hazardous environment 
Work Hours & Travel Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work 12 hour rotating shifts
  • Available to work overtime on off days on short notice
