Job Description:

**Please note this position requires a driver's license & vehicle to travel to our various rental sites in the GTA.**

**Please note this is a 12-month contract position for maternity leave coverage.**

The Opportunity:

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for effectively marketing and selling Minto’s product and service offerings to prospective residents while maximizing revenue and delivering an exceptional customer experience.


What you'll be responsible for day to day:

  • Implements and champions Minto Properties business strategies and brand, with attention to the company’s vision and values;
  • Responds to telephone inquiries regarding suite availability and building information;
  • Demonstrates an ability to consistently meet personal financial targets;
  • Achieves budgeted leasing targets on monthly basis;
  • Monitors market rents, vacancy loss, and promotions;
  • Completes all leasing activity to the established standards with no errors or omissions on applications, leases, and other required reporting;
  • Maximizes rental revenues by realizing maximum potential rent at every opportunity;
  • Makes recommendations on effective pricing and promotions;
  • Ensures consistent application of set policies and standard operating procedures;
  • Communicates set policies and procedures clearly to customers;
  • Collects and records all traffic and demographic information on a daily basis for marketing purposes;
  • Understands and adheres to safe work practices;
  • Ensures implementation of internal service delivery and quality assurance to meet standards and internal customer expectations;
  • Maintains proactive and effective communication with internal customers;
  • Responds to all rental inquiries in a timely manner, with a strong sales focus;
  • Conducts oneself with the utmost dignity and professionalism in all dealings;
  • Takes ownership of any customer issues and concern, leasing related or otherwise, and resolves the issue by following up with the appropriate department staff;
  • Identifies what the customer values and matches his/her needs to our product and/or service;
  • Takes steps to service recovery and follows up with customers;
  • Implements and champions Minto’s business strategies and brand, with attention to company’s vision and values;
  • Fosters a positive work environment and maintains positive relations with others.
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

Who we're looking for:

Education: A University Degree or College Diploma is required.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required.
