Job Description:

Midnight shift (23:00 – 7:30)
Southwest United Canada Inc. is currently looking for an NDT Inspector for our Concord facility. The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking for a permanent, full-time job, is willing to learn and grow with the company, and has previous experience in LPI and MPI. The candidate must be willing to work on the Midnight shift (23:00 – 7:30) .This is a fast paced, chemical processing environment. Ability to be punctual, professional, and safe is mandatory.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs MPI and/or LPI, quality assurance tests, and product interpretations and evaluations.
  • Follows procedures in the techniques and methods in accordance with specifications.
  • Completes and maintains all required paperwork, including job travelers and log books.
  • Assists with general inspection and training as required.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection when in the shop.
  • Assists with other duties as required or directed by Manager/Supervisor.
     
    Required Skills:
  • Eye exam required to perform duties.
  • Must possess ability to comprehend, evaluate, and write procedures as necessary, specifications and instruction material.
  • Must possess ability to operate formulas and computer spreadsheets.
  • Must possess ability to interpret drawings, prints, and customer purchase order data.
  • Must possess ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations, minor algebra.
  • May require heavy lifting (approximately 50lbs).
  • Must possess independent motivation and attention to detail
  • Must be a team player and be able to get along with co-workers
    Required Experience:
  • 0 - 3 years experienced in inspecting parts via NDT.
  • Must be experienced in working in a chemical processing environment.
    Level of Education:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • Level II NDT Certification required (LPI & MPI).
