Job Description:

Our client, located in Toronto, is currently looking to add an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to their team! They are a successful privately owned importing and distribution company that has been around since 1977. RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Reception Duties: 
  • Answering the phone as required
  • Greeting and assisting visitors to the office
  • Sorting the mail and faxes
  • Arranging couriers (including couriers for product samples for customers)
  • Filing
 Administrative Duties: 
  • Arranging the servicing of office equipment and maintenance of the phone system
  • Handling of office equipment leases and telephone contracts
  • Handling of file maintenance and storage (onsite and offsite)
  • Managing cell phone plans
  • Ordering office and kitchen supplies
  • Keeping the kitchen clean
 Logistic support: 
  • Tracking of offshore shipments using supplier and shipping line information
  • Handling shipping documentation relating to imports from primary US supplier
  • Preparing shipping files
 Other: 
  • Provide periodic administrative support to the management team
  • Other administrative duties as required

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong computer knowledge (Word, Excel)
