Job Overview
As the Marketing Manager, you will be in charge of the organization’s marketing activities in Toronto and therefore handle formulating, directing, and coordinating marketing activities to increase the marketing performance of our campaigns, meet the registration targets, and reaching the target audience for each event. Marketing activities will cover all aspects of the promotion of our events (online and offline), from strategies to operations on-site.

The ideal candidate will approach event marketing from a methodical and analytical perspective and will be able to execute marketing plans while uncovering areas for innovation and optimization.

Job Requirements
General
  • Carrying out market research in order to identify new ways to market our events
  • In charge of all marketing assets (contacts databases and various marketing platforms)
  • Designing our marketing strategy and the marketing plan for each of our events
  • Creating our online and offline marketing campaigns (e-mailing campaigns, print mailing campaigns, ads, phone, brochure, and social media)
  • In charge of monitoring the analytics of our websites and campaigns, and pro-actively suggest areas of improvements in order to be more competitive, expand reach and increase conversions
  • Leading all SEO, digital and online ad buying
  • In charge of marketing operations on-site (banners, badges, brochures, partners)
  • Manage website and social media activities
  • Work with our Paris office to implement new marketing strategies and maintain brand consistency
  • Establish distribution networks across digital platforms as well as media, publications, and associations.
  • Support sales activities by implementing campaign that are oriented toward lead generation
Partnerships    
  • Development of the partner portfolio around each event
  • Establishment of partnership agreements around each event
  • Realization of the tools necessary for the deployment of the partnership agreements
  • Monitoring and reporting of partner actions
Database Management
  • Responsible for the enhancement and updating of our databases
  • Responsible for the segmentation of all databases
  • Identify data requirements for each event and perform necessary actions
  • Monitoring and suggest areas for improvement and gaps in the databases
  • Ensure that marketing activities and database management are CASL compliant
Qualifications:
  • Data-driven, tech-savvy, highly motivated individual ready to work in a challenging environment and take part in a growing company 
  • Highly reliable, internally-driven, proactive and works well under pressure
  • Experience required: 2-4 years, preferably with a business school/commerce diploma.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects through highly effective organizational skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions quickly and efficiently
    • Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment is an asset
    • Creativity, curiosity, and ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
    • Should have previous experience in digital marketing, research, marketing, or PR
Technical Skills
General
  • Experience with Google Drive, Docs, and Sheet
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with a CRM tool like Salesforce
E-mail Marketing
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Pardot, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, or Constant Contact
  • Familiarity with HTML
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and landing pages
Social Media
  • Experience with Hootsuite or similar
Online Advertising and Optimization
  • Familiar with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, social advertising
Copywriting
  • Experience writing effective marketing copy for clicks and conversions
