Job Description:

We’re looking for an exceptional Recruitment Team Lead to coach and mentor our recruitment team and drive the company’s recruitment strategy. In the past two years we’ve grown from 80 to 270 globally and face unique challenges as a team with a wide variety of roles all over the world.

As our go-to recruitment expert, you’ll be laser-focused when it comes to emerging trends, using them to create innovative campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and growth.

In this exciting role, no major recruitment campaigns will take place without you. You’ll be proactive in getting to know Adaptavist better, utilising analytics and introducing new ways of working to continually improve effectiveness.

The people we hire are smart, ambitious, pragmatic, and do incredible work. You'll be tasked with designing the strategy for finding these candidates in multiple locations and time zones to fill a large number of different technical, operational and creative roles.

Responsibilities:

Team management

  • Managing and mentoring the Adaptavist recruitment team to performance goals and outcomes: ensure efficient process development and consistent execution for sourcing, recruiting, talent pipeline development, selection and the on-boarding processes; ensuring every interaction with the recruitment team is a high-quality experience for the hiring managers and applicants.
  • Providing regular and timely feedback to employees, acknowledging success and the need for improvement.
  • Setting team objectives and goals to support individual employee career development, balanced against company objectives/needs.

Recruitment and Selection

  • Providing advice and techniques related to attracting, sourcing (headhunting, advertising, job fairs etc.), evaluating (determining and implementing selection criteria and strategy), interviewing and the intake (i.e. negotiating offers) of appropriate talent to meet Adaptavist's human resources needs.
  • Developing succession plans necessary for key/critical positions.
  • Hands on recruitment of candidates e.g. sourcing, screening and interviewing
  • Promoting and implementing new proactive, innovative recruitment strategies and techniques based on market insight on industry trends and best attraction methodologies to identify and engage with new communities of talent to build a pipeline of candidates for Adaptavist.

Analytical Thinking

  • Adopts a whole systems perspective, assessing and balancing vast amounts of diverse information that directly impact informed strategic decisions.
  • Thinks beyond the organisation and into the future, balancing multiple perspectives when setting direction or reaching conclusions (e.g., social, economic, partner, stakeholder interests, short- and long-term benefits, national and global implications).
  • Creating a comprehensive reporting dashboard that tracks all key sourcing data and statistics. This report will be shared regularly with the Senior Leadership team that will impact future strategic decisions.
  • Assessing the tools, strategy and needs of the team’s approach to inform Adaptavist’s future hiring decisions.

Employee Engagement and Retention Management

  • Developing and implementing employee retention initiatives to address attrition factors, based on the assessment of factors that influence an employee’s decision to resign.
  • Identifies areas of improvement in employee retention process.

Client Focus

  • Formulates strategies and processes to evaluate emerging and longer-term opportunities and threats to meeting clients’ needs.
  • Determines strategic business direction to best meet clients’ evolving needs.
  • Evaluates the client service model and service standards to identify areas for improvement.
  • Review the recruitment experience from both the perspective of the candidate and that of the hiring managers.

Job Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience of working within an in-house recruitment function before, mentoring, coaching and developing your team.
  • Experience of management/leading a small team in a fast-paced recruitment environment, including setting team goals, 121’s and appraisals.
  • Experience in developing, aligning and executing a strong recruitment strategy.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Applicant Tracking Systems (we use Workable).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workloads & manage multiple requests and relationships internally and externally.
  • Proven end to end international recruitment experience.
  • Significant technical knowledge of all aspects of attraction and recruitment and a strong and well-maintained understanding of industry trends and best practice.
  • Sound knowledge of current employment law specific to recruitment.
  • Knowledge and experience in creating a sourcing plan and influencing other business stakeholders.
  • Self-starting, strongly ambitious and tenacious: willing to go the extra mile.
  • Comfortable and familiar working under tight timeframes/deadlines at pace.

  • Experience within a fast-paced, fast-growth Tech start-up environment.
  • Experience of managing remote teams.
  • Experience of working in a collaborative global matrixed organization.
  • Experience recruiting within the IT or Technology sectors.
