Job Description:

TorontoJobs.ca has partnered with an accounting firm in Mississauga on their search for an Accounting Administrative Assistant / Receptionist.

This roles requires being in the office. Hours of work are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
The office has minimal traffic and follows health protocols. 

In this role, the successful candidate will be supporting the firm through administrative and accounting duties. 


Responsibilities:
  • Filing HST returns
  • Sending Accounts Receivable Statements
  • Billing clients
  • Search client account balances / details using the CRA portal
  • Submitting authorization request
  • Screen and redirect phone calls accordingly
  • Represent the firm as the first point of contact
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Light housekeeping (keeping files and desk tidy, keeping office organized, ordering supplies) 

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Accounting experience / background
  • Experience with the following accounting software is a great asset: 
    • CaseWare, Profile, iFirm; Jazzit; QuickBooks
  • Tech savvy - most transactions are done digitally
  • Professionalism 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:
  • Previous experience working in an accounting firm, law firm, or consultancy firm.
