Job Description:

Our client located in Oakville is currently looking to add an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to their growing team!

About the Job:
Act as primary coordinator for all client and customer requests. Listen to client and customers’ questions, concerns and provide technical answers and responses. Process customer quotes, orders, calculate charges and prepare invoices, billing and reports. Review customer orders, handle returns and resolve complaints or issues. Communicating effectively with team members is critical to providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from clients and customers with respect to: quotes, orders, invoicing, returns, shipments, reports and billing.
  • Respond and manage all incoming/outgoing customer phone calls, emails in a professional, timely manner.
  • Build and maintain client loyalty by providing prompt, friendly service.
  • Ensure delivery of excellent customer service by providing timely, accurate and detailed processing of quotes, orders, and all other client inquiries.
  • Communicate and coordinate in a positive manner with team members and other departments to address client issues and resolve problems expeditiously and report resolution back to client.
  • Provide customers with technical advice and solutions based upon product offerings.
  • Maintain and improve quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Manage and organize detailed client and customer data by updating account information.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly sales reports to appropriate parties.
  • Support management in a variety of administrative projects and tasks as needed.
  • Special projects including but not limited to: marketing mailings, customer surveys, trade show assistance and follow-up. Proactively contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize customer service and sales support procedures..
  • Obtain shipping quotes from transportation companies as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education; degree or diploma in business or technical engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Customer service experience in an inside sales position role focused on phone & online interactions is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • A strong working knowledge of various software programs such as Simply Accounting/QuickBooks and an ERP systems.
  • Wide range of experience using major social media platforms and web design software.        
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English at an expert level along with strong people skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French is an asset
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within teams
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Forward thinker, creative, innovative and entrepreneurial
