TorontoJobs.ca is working with a public accounting firm in Mississauga in their search for a Senior Accountant.

Tired of working extremely long hours during tax season? If you are looking for a public firm with work-life balance, a respectful and friendly work environment, and flexibility, this role is for you.

This role is a hybrid position but onboarding and training will be onsite.

Job responsibilities:
  • Lead audit of non-profit organizations and for-profit entities
  • Prepare personal tax returns, corporation tax returns, HST, PSB
  • Conduct light bookkeeping if needed
  • Lead and manage audit file from start to finish

Job Requirements:

  • CPA designation
  • Previous experience in a public accounting firm
  • Previous experience in auditing non-profit organizations and churches is a strong asset
  • Experience with QuickBooks, CaseWare, MS Office, JazzIt, iFirm (training will be provided)
  • Time management skills – ability to work under tight deadlines while delivering quality work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
