Our client specializes in outsourced accounting services for a large variety of industries, and they are currently looking to hire an Account Manager for their growing team!
This self-motivated individual has a dual role:
a) Manages portfolio of clients to ensure quality client service while maximizing profitability; and
b) Contribute to the company’s overall strategic growth objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
1. Portfolio Management
• Actively manage his/her portfolio to maintain high client satisfaction while maximizing profitability
• Efficiently utilize the company’s resources in providing services to clients
• Effectively manage relationships with the company's various stakeholders: clients, staff, external partners (e.g. year end accountants, auditors, bankers, lawyers etc)
• Takes complete ownership of client engagement and all related issues
2. Client Duties
• Responsible to ensure that clients’ operational requirements are consistently completed to the company's standards for quality and timeliness
• Meet regularly with clients to ensure the service is meeting their needs and to identify opportunities for providing clients with additional services
• Respond to and resolve any client service issues
• Provide limited Senior Controllership services required such as:
- Prepare financial projections, monitor, and analyze cash flow
- Review monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and related working papers
- Conduct financial analysis to understand client’s financial position and discuss same with client
3. Staff Duties:
• Manage team workload to ensure the team is providing deliverables on time and to the company's standards
• Provide a rewarding environment for outstanding performance
• Provide regular, timely feedback to subordinates to monitor and guide their personal development, identify training and mentoring needs
• Prepare semi-annual reviews for direct reports
• Build a spirit of teamwork and co-operation ensuring high staff morale and effective contributions from the team
• Contribute to the company’s training programs which establish guidelines for Best Practices
4. Administrative:
• Actively contribute toward meeting the company’s growth objective by identifying opportunities within and beyond his/her own client portfolio
• Identify process improvements, risk areas and opportunities for standardization with a view to continuously improving service quality and ensuring more efficient and effective resource allocation
• Responsible for client billing
• Participate in monthly Managers’ meetings
• Assist with scheduling
