Job Description:
Our client, a Mississauga based entrepreneurial CPA firm that's been around over 35 years is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their growing team!
As a multi-disciplinary practice, they offer specialized value-added business solutions, as well as an in-house law firm for all your business and professional needs. They foster a dynamic and fun atmosphere, conducive to professional development and partnership opportunity. They are seeking a Canadian qualified CPA experienced in public accountant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Independently prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
Assist and independently prepare corporate and personal tax planning such as * dividend vs. salary calculations.
Maintaining client files in a paperless methodology.
Independently research tax issues and collaborate with the team to determine solutions, including correspondence with CRA.
Independently work directly with clients.
Effectively manage multiple projects and regularly monitor deadline budgets.
Identify general value-added services while working on engagements.
Job Requirements:
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Superior customer service, with the ability to understand the clients' business and needs.
Ability to work both independently with little supervision and within a team environment.
Drive to grow skills through ongoing research and professional education
Ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong accounting background including knowledge of relevant accounting frameworks and file documentation best practices.
Minimum of 5 years’ Canadian experience working in public practice accounting.
Strong technical skills in CaseWare, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Tax Prep, Excel and Word.
