Payables and Collections Supervisor

Our client, a well-respected law firm located in Toronto, is looking to add a Payables and Collections Supervisor to their team!

Responsibilities will include: 

• Managing and completing all payables, including paying all vendors and billing/collecting from businesses
• Completing the accounting functions for settlements of legal files, including requesting funds from clients, following up, and arranging for payments
• Posting disbursements, data entry
• Processing payments of invoices
• Monitor and review billing systems to ensure the system is kept current
• Following up with clients on aged accounts receivable and resolving any issues
• Process pre-bills and final billings on a monthly or on-request basis 
• Preparing and submitting various types of billing such as, E-billing, joint, interim and split billing
• Managing various stages of the billing processes while maintaining relationships with multiple third-party e-billing software systems
• Ensuring the compliance of billing arrangements including inputting bills and budgets into client billing systems (i.e. Bottomline, LEX, Tymetrix)
• Liaising with lawyers regarding any budgeting requirements
• Appealing E-billing protocols; dealing with monthly rejections of all e-bills
• Troubleshooting and resolving billing issues with external clients 

• Proficient knowledge of PC Law software
• Solid verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills
• Self-motivated, team player, results oriented
• Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision
