Job Description:

Our client, a food manufacturer located in Toronto, is looking to add an Accountant to their team! 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Full-cycle Accounts Payable
  • Preparation of Month-end interim financial statements 
  • Month-end close with all required journal entries with related account reconciliations/analyses.
  • Overview of A/R status
  • Coordination of communication with accounting reps of key suppliers/customers
  •  Charge-backs of customer deductions/ shipping variances
  • Monthly reporting to company bankers
  • Inventory monitoring in coordination with supply chain group
  • Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Post secondary degree/diploma in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting position 
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Desire to grow and learn new things related to the accounting field
