Position Description:
The Technical Analyst – is a key member of the team responsible for providing technical support and assistance to the Technical Product Solutions Team. Duties will include database configuration, business rule composition, work on project teams, day-to-day troubleshooting of technical issues, creation and review of new/existing technical documentation, project management, technical presentations, and local and remote technical support/consultation to ensure that project goal, timeline, and budget objectives are achieved.


Key Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Provide technical and implementation support for existing and new deployments of the specific filogix solution
•Assist in design and implementation of technology requirements for projects;
•Assist technical project team with application rollouts, data conversions, migrations and upgrades;
•Identify and document system problems, innovations and recommend resolutions to issues;
•Coordinate technical design reviews;
•Assist in resolving complex problems related to interfaces and connectivity of database management systems, and various other applications;
•Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational procedures and guidelines.
•Technical Support for Client Services tool creation, automation, etc.


Education and Technical Experience:
The following elements are required:
•Equivalent to possession of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with major course work in computer science, public or business administration
•Strong triage, troubleshooting, and problem management skills
•Technical experience in the development or support of software, network operating systems, telecommunications, and/or office automation
•Working knowledge of database schema browsers
•Working knowledge of SQL, XML
•Working knowledge of / experience with relational databases (preference to those with Oracle 8i/9i experience)
•Working knowledge of systems architecture and design
•Working knowledge of software development lifecycles
•Working knowledge of software deployment and implementation processes
•Ability to read and interpret detailed business and technical requirements and specifications, and implement within various databases and schemas
•Working knowledge of the full suite of Microsoft Office products (including Visio, Project, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint)

•Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multi-task (multiple problems /projects simultaneously, with rapid deadlines and a fluid environment)

•Results oriented and self motivated with strong organizational skills
•Able to balance and prioritize the competing demands of the various business groups
•Continued understanding of technology trends and developments
•High degree of accuracy and precision in work
•Desire and ability to learn on the fly; Self-starter, dynamic, minimal supervision

These additional elements are not required, but preference will be given to candidates with the following:
•Mortgage / financial industry background
•Previous experience with programming an asset
•Knowledge of N-Tier architecture and systems an asset
•Knowledge of web services an asset
