A & H Health Horizon is seeking to hire a medical administrative assistant for our Scarborough office. We are a growing medical service provider which aims to provide effective wellness solutions to patients. Our services include rehabilitation, chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture.

Job Description:

Location: Scarborough

Start Date: January 2009

Status: Permanent

Working Hours: Approximately 20 hrs/week

The role of the medical administrative assistant is to support the day-to-day activities of the clinic and provide quality service to potential and existing patients. Some of the duties of the medical administrative assistant include: greeting patients, answering phone calls, taking patient information, preparing reports, and scheduling appointments. This position requires an individual who has the ability to multitask and is flexible regarding hours and duties of work. Competency in computer applications and medical terminology is an asset.

Job Requirement:


• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Previous experience especially in a medical clinic environment an asset
• Ability to adapt to change
• Sense of organization
• Customer service driven
• Interest in health services field
