Preetel Communications Inc. is looking for the Network Cable Technician.

Job Summary

Essential duties and responsibilities may consist of but are not limited to:

• Installation, termination and testing of cabling systems- cat5, cat6 cables.
• Build closets, mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware
• Installation of ladder tray, conduit, and raceway
• Fish walls, conduit, and workstations. Dress closets, cross connect and terminations
• Test, review, commission and troubleshoot installed systems

Job Type / Category

• Experience installing data, voice, security, and video cabling.
• Experience in either data, voice, fiber, security, card access, camera/video, and PA an asset
• Completion of mandatory safety training, first aid, WHIMS, Lift, working at heights, etc. an asset
• Experience on a scissor and boom lifts an asset

• Must be well organized and be able to work well individually and as part of a team
• Creative in completing tasks, flexible and adaptable
• Must have and maintain a valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
• Must have a strong commitment to safety
• Must be physically fit, including ability to safely lift heavy objects, tools and extension ladders
• Comfortable working at heights

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
