G4S Secure Solutions is Canada's leading provider of security solutions. Our company specializes in hiring and training security professionals to meet all of our client’s needs. We are also proud to partner with various government organizations in securing their facilities. Currently we are seeking Full Time and Part Time Security Guards for one of our Federal Government sites. This position will be situated mainly in the Etobicoke Region.
 
Responsibilities and Duties
 

• Ensuring the safe and secure control and custody of clients in all of the work sites
• Monitoring and controlling designated areas as well as all entrances and exits.
• Carrying out evacuation procedures in the event of a fire or emergency at their assigned work location in accordance with emergency procedures
• Applying use of force principles and methods of intervention respective of the situation
• Monitoring client behavior through active engagement;
• Administering First-Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as required, including the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED)
• Any other duties relating to the services of this requirement.

 
Education, Training & Knowledge prior to Service Commencement

• Valid Ontario Provincial Security Guard licence
• Successful completion of secondary school education in Canada or a Canadian equivalent (i.e. General Education Development, GED).
• First Aid and CPR Training with Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Able to complete Use of Force Training
• Government Reliability Status must be obtained (Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant with 5 years Residency)

 
Training within the First Three (3) Months of the Provision of Service
 

• Cultural Sensitivity, Harassment and Diversity Training
• Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Training
• Hazardous Toxic Substance Training

• Starting Pay Rate is $15.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
