Company Description:

We have partnered with a global technology consultancy that are seeking a skilled IT Specialist/ Infrastructure Engineer to join their busy team based from their offices in Toronto on a permanent basis.

They are seeking specialists that will play a major role in all elements of IT Supporting, across their 3 sites. They specialise in the development, simulation and testing technology of powertrains for passenger cars, trucks and large engines. The company has a fantastic office space and works with exciting global OEMs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support includes: telephone system, user issues, printers, network connectivity, cabling, server room management, software installations, Door access control and CCTV systems
• Resolving user issues within agreed SLA timeframes
• Manage any major IT incidents to a timely manner
• Delivery of IT projects on-time and to customer satisfaction
• Support IT related issues with Test Bed machines, keeping downtime to a minimum to meet business and customer deadlines
• Develop and maintain relationships with the European Head Office, IT Team and Test Bed Support Teams.

Required Skills & Experience:
Essential:
• Comprehensive network administration experience of Windows, (and some Linux), in a Windows Active Directory based environment
• Maintain active directory/exchange user accounts/DFS Shares via FIM and AD and relevant file security permissions etc.
• Asset Management and Software license management experience
• VMWare and Hyper-V. Basic administration knowledge of Virtual Machines
• Maintain active directory/exchange user accounts/DFS Shares via FIM and AD and relevant file security permissions etc.
• Firewall experience (Barracuda), VLAN experience and Switch Port Management
• Experience of working with the RemedyForce IT ticketing system (or similar)
• ITIL v3 Foundation
• 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line IT Support experience
• Networking knowledge inc. TCP/IP, VLANs, IP Addressing
• Experience of managing Windows server operating systems (Server 2008R2 & 2012R2)
• Experience of working within an ISO27001 ISO9001 environment (attaining and maintaining ISO Certification)
• Server room general maintenance and cabling/patching experience including replacing/upgrading hardware

Soft skills:
• Incident/Problem Management experience
• Conduct client, server (ESX) and user support
• Ordering IT Hardware and handling purchase orders within budgetary guidelines
• Project Management experience within an IT environment or a Project Management qualification
• Experience of working with remote IT support teams or international IT support teams

You will have one week training at the  Head Office and will need to be flexible to travel as required.
