Hayssen Machine Operator Key Functions & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate the machine for start up.
• Follow the production schedule as directed by the supervisor and prepare for changeovers such as: setting and loading packaging film on the machine, changing the sealing parts, and raw material loaded on the machine.
• Observe and ensure the machine is operating efficiently and complies with company specifications.
• Continuous monitoring and observation that production is meeting quality standards such as: ensuring the correct film is selected for each production run, accurate weight, UPC, country of origin, and the overall durability of the packaging.
• Troubleshoot and determine machine problems or breakdowns.
• Keep an accurate log and record of production out put.
• Adhere to the company’s Food Safety, GMP, and Health & Safety Regulations.
• Perform responsibilities under SQF standards.
• Lead a team of line packagers and ensure all company standards are being met.
• Communicate with supervisors and maintenance team for malfunctions and work with them to resolve.

Requirements:

• Have strong attention to detail and be organized.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Have strong communication both written and verbal.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb.
• Able to stand for long period of time.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating machine, preferably in food industry.
