We are currently seeking forklift operator/battery stacker to join our team in Orangeville, ON

As a Forklift operator/battery stacker you will play a key role in delivering on our commitments to our customers on a day-to-day basis and in meeting the highest standards of customer service.

Your primary responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

· Ensure that yard and warehouse use are maximized, clean and organized

· Operation of scale and ensuring accuracy of inventory

· Maintaining shop equipment and monitoring/ordering supplies

· Assisting customers in unloading their scrap materials batteries and nonferrous metals.

· Assisting in loading/unloading trucks for the shipment of scrap materials

· Load and unload trucks

· Move and stack materials

· Spot tractor trailers

· General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned

· Follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures

· Receive/process shipments

· Perform proper forklift inspection, minor servicing and repairs as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

· Forklift experience (Required)

· Strong work ethic and ability to work at a fast pace

· A relatively clean driving abstract

· Minimum Grade 12 education

· Ability to handle and lift goods up to 50 lbs

· A good attitude and willingness to learn

Skills and Competencies:

· Thorough grasp of the English language - both spoken and written

· Experience in the metals/recycling business an asset

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Basic math skills

- You are comfortable working in a physically demanding and outdoor environment
