Job Description:

We are on a search for a detail-oriented and skilled Senior Accountant who will join our client's growing public accounting firm located in North York. This individual will oversee daily operations, train and mentor junior staff, and work closely with management to provide exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities inlcude:
  • Establish and maintain client rapport through daily correspondence and connection
  • Take charge of a wide client portfolio
  • Prepare compilation (Notice to Reader) files and investment write-ups
  • Prepare and complete working papers for review and audit engagements in an independent manner
  • Prepare personal (T1), trust (T3) and corporate (T2) income tax returns
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial statements
  • Communicate with government agencies as required
  • Study and interpret complex financial reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • CPA designation, or close to achieving CPA designation
  • Experience in using: CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks (online and desktop version)
  • A keen eye for details
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to establish and nurture professional relationships
  • A strong sense of judgement
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
