Job Description:

Our client, a boutique pubic accounting firm located in Markham, is currently seeking an experienced and professional Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. This candidate is expected to demonstrate hand on knowledge in Accounting and Compilation standards and Taxation.
 
Roles and responsibilities:

  • Prepare compilation (Notice to Reader) files 
  • Prepare and complete working papers for reviews in an independent manner
  • Prepare personal (T1), trust (T3) and corporate (T2) income tax returns
  • Utilizing accounting knowledge to provide advice to clients on various matters as required
  • Billing, budgeting and billing reconciliations as required
  • Assisting with CRA audits and queries and liaising with CRA on assessments and appeals

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in public practice with CFE pass
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an efficient manner
  • Collaborative and proactive team player
  • Good working knowledge of Caseware and Taxprep.
  • Perform any other related duties
