Job Description:

Our client , a well established and reputable supplier of poultry products located in Toronto, is looking to add a Junior Accountant to their growing team! 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Prepare customer orders for invoicing once product has shipped
  • Obtain Bills of Lading from Customer Service Representatives and warehouses
  • Match Bills of Lading with Sales Orders and complete digital invoicing files
  • Follow up with warehouses if there is a discrepancy in the number of chep pallets shipped to ensure the correct numbers are invoiced
  • Coordinate with Quota Services team to determine if orders require quota charges
  • Update invoice spreadsheet once orders are ready to be invoiced and include any specific instructions regarding quota or other charges
  • Assist Senior Accountant in preparing customer invoices
  • Enter completed customer invoices in EDI for select customers
  • Download and organize backup for certain customer deductions from client portal
  • Review and approve trucking invoices for customer orders shipped by the company

Job Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong computer skills with a solid knowledge of Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge or exposure to accounting software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Very detailed oriented and able to work in a focused manner
  • Able to communicate in a very clear and concise manner
