This is a hands-on leadership role with significant opportunity for growth and potential for partnership.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage tax compliance and planning engagements for a diverse portfolio of mid-market clients across various industries.
Provide tax advisory services to clients including corporate reorganizations, estate and succession planning, and cross-border tax matters.
Review complex tax returns and deliver high-quality tax solutions that align with client objectives.
Collaborate with partners and other managers to ensure exceptional client service.
Mentor and manage a team of tax professionals, ensuring ongoing development and performance management.
Stay up to date with current tax legislation and industry trends to ensure clients receive relevant and effective advice.
Work closely with the firm’s partners on strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.
Requirements:
CPA designation in good standing.
Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program.
Minimum 5+ years of progressive tax and management experience in a small to mid-sized public accounting firm, ideally with a mid-market focus.
Proven hands-on experience in both compliance and advisory engagements.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to grow within the firm.
