Our client, a well-established engineering firm, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in a Consulting Engineering or Design/Build environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge building environmental systems alongside a team of experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a strong technical background and a passion for designing innovative solutions. This role is on-site at the Sacramento office and will require regional, same-day travel to job sites throughout Northern California.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from design to construction.
· Design heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems for building projects.
· Ensure compliance with California Building Codes and industry best practices.
· Perform building energy modeling and work with BMS controls.
· Provide construction support, including site visits and design modifications as needed.
· Collaborate with clients, architects, and cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions.


Required Skills & Experience:
· 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design/build environment.
· Expertise in HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, and construction support.
· Proficiency in MEP design, Revit, and AutoCAD.
· Experience with building energy modeling and BMS controls.
· Strong knowledge of California Building Codes.
· PE certification
· Strong technical writing and communication skills.


Education Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
