ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Our TorontoJobs.ca Recruiting Division Client located in Toronto, in the food industry, is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to help support the execution of the company’s marketing strategies by coordinating projects, developing materials, and assisting in day-to-day administrative and brand activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of product marketing initiatives, maintaining brand consistency, and enabling the Sales and Culinary teams with the tools and insights needed to drive growth across multiple customer segments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing & Communications
• Provide administrative and project coordination support to the Director of Culinary, Innovation & Marketing and the VP of Sales & Marketing
• Assist with the creation, editing, and production of marketing collateral such as sell sheets, flyers, brochures, presentations, trade ads, and POS materials
• Support the execution of marketing campaigns, digital content plans, and e-marketing activities (email, website, social media)
• Track marketing campaign performance and help measure ROI using basic analytics and KPIs.
• Manage branded merchandise inventory, ordering, and distribution for internal and external events
• Contribute to the development and execution of customer-facing communications, ensuring alignment with the company's brand positioning
Content Development
• Assist with recipe development, food styling, and scheduling for photography and video production
• Assist with maintaining digital asset libraries (images, videos, brand templates).
• Collaborate with the Dir. Culinary to support product launches, recipe development, and menu ideation support materials
Market Research & Sales Enablement
• Gather and catalogue trade program details, competitive intelligence, customer pricing, and product positioning
• Research industry trends (Technomic), new product introductions, and emerging opportunities in the Canadian foodservice, retail, and HMR (Home Meal Replacement) sectors
• Analyze Direct Link and other sources of market data to identify opportunities for new and existing company products. Track quarterly growth trends for the company’s products, competitor offerings and new products in categories of interest, analyzing how they are gaining traction and capturing market share.
Events & Trade Shows
• Assist with planning and execution of food shows, industry events, and customer presentations
• Coordinate logistics, booth materials, and post-event follow-up
• Support the team in preparing presentation decks and sampling materials

POSITION OUTCOMES:
• Timely and accurate execution of marketing tasks and deliverables
• High-quality marketing materials that align with the company’s brand standards
• Improved team efficiency through reliable administrative and project coordination support
• Increased support to the Sales team via marketing collateral, product data, and trend insights
• Positive contributions to campaign execution, recipe development coordination, and product storytelling

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or administrative role, preferably in the food, CPG, or hospitality industries
• Experience working with creative teams, sales teams, or culinary professionals is considered an asset

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Genuine passion for food and interest in the food industry, with an appreciation for culinary branding and communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, Dreamweaver), or other design tools an asset
• Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
• Understanding of food industry trends and basic product marketing principles
