The Molding Supervisor 's primary focus will be to ensure the quality of products and the overseeing of employees in Molding. The Molding Supervisor is responsible for the on-time delivery of orders.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of molding operators. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain department training records and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Oversee daily molding operations, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of molding machines. Ensure production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Enforce and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure molding equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Assist with preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team. Participate and assist with safety training and ensure all employees follow safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities. Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with other departments, including engineering, quality assurance, project management and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Five years’ experience in heavy gauge thermoforming. Previous experience with pressure forming required.
  • 2 years supervisor/manager experience.
  • Good organizational and communications skills

WORK CONDITIONS:
The employee will work both on the manufacturing floor and in the
maintenance shop and office. Normal plant environment which may include
exposure to dust, and both hot and cold conditions. Must be capable of
wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary to comply with
government and company safety standards. Must be able to walk, stand,
and lift objects, up to 50lbs.
