The Commercial Relationship Manager will play a vital role in our client’s organization by facilitating and managing the commercial lending process. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the creditworthiness of businesses and analyze their financial information to determine their eligibility for loans. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs, provide guidance, and develop appropriate lending solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of commercial lending practices, excellent analytical skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate Creditworthiness: Assess the financial health and creditworthiness of businesses by analyzing their financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and other relevant documentation.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their financing requirements and provide tailored lending solutions.
  3. Loan Origination: Generate new business by actively prospecting, identifying, and acquiring potential commercial loan customers.
  4. Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with each loan application and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  5. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to determine the feasibility and profitability of loan requests, ensuring compliance with lending policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
  6. Loan Structuring and Documentation: Collaborate with clients to structure loan transactions, prepare loan packages, and ensure accurate and complete loan documentation.
  7. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of existing loan portfolios, assess potential risks, and implement appropriate actions to mitigate any identified issues.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Commercial Loan Officer or a similar role in the banking or financial services industry.
  3. Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessment.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex financial information and make informed lending decisions.
  5. Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a customer-centric mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  7. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial lending practices, loan structuring, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
